TEACHING ASANA PART ONE

·       Simple Class Structure

·       Introduction to Ujjayi Pranayama

·       Surya Namaskara/The Sun Salutations, 12 Asanas in the Surya Namaskara Family

·       Practice Teaching of Namaskara linking with breath

·       Standing Postures, alignment and postural analysis discussion, alignment cues, practice cueing postures

·       Round Robin Instruction

WEEKEND TWO: (February 9TH-11TH)

SHAPING OUR PRANIC WHEELS

·       Therapeutic breathing techniques, (Pranayama Methods)

·       Meditation with Mala beads

·       A Look into our Wellbeing, our truth, our resolve. Discussion on the terms: Sadhana (daily practice), Karma (action) and Sankalpa (intention)

·       Subtle energy locks within our bodies and how to use them in meditation and postures.

·       Discussion on the 5 movements or functions of prana/energy, known as Panca Vayus.

·       The chakra system (the energy centers in our bodies), the history, modern interpretations

·       Our subtle body understood through the lens of the Chakras

·       Recitation of Seed sounds. Pranayama

·       Sharing, written exercises & journalizing within the context of Pratyahara

·       Create fluid language around the Chakra System

·       Specific asanas and sequences to illuminate our chakras

·       Led vinyasa, highlight on Chakra sequences

Tuition & Application

To apply, please complete this application and email it to carina@spyngaflows.com. A $50.00 application fee will be required and can be applied to tuition upon approval.  Once accepted, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required. 
YTT Tuition in studio: $3,800.00
