The Cycle Revolution Teacher Training program is an opportunity to transform yourself and your cycling abilities both as a student, aspiring cycle instructor, or to deepen your skills if you are already teaching. Receive your FULL certification as an indoor cycling teacher through ICTC, the indoor cycling trainers of Canada a subsidiary of Spynga The Yoga & Cycling Studio. We offer this training in an effort to grow our community of indoor cyclists by sharing the knowledge, skills and tools we have learned so they too can inspire others! This course will guide cycling enthusiasts in developing the fundamental skills necessary to teach an effective and dynamic indoor cycling class. Both theory and practical application skills and tools will be presented.

Syllabus

Physicality of Indoor Cycling

  • Learn correct cycling positioning and how to teach great alignment
  • Proper Bike Set up
  • Heart Rate Measurement and make use of its benefits
  • Effective demonstrations
  • Intelligent sequencing to keep students engaged, safe, and working at their optimum levels

Anatomy & Physiology

  • Applied anatomy to indoor cycling
  • Sequencing mechanisms related to cardio vascular systems and recovery
  • Breath Work
  • Stretching for cyclists
  • Learn common contraindications and how to work with limitations as well injury prevention

Art of Teaching

  • Use of music and how to structure a class
  • Teaching methodology
  • Finding your instructor's voice
  • The use of powerful language to motivate
  • How to market yourself as an indoor cycling teacher
